Muir Woods

Hi, all! Recently Jesse and I took a trip to the Muir Woods, a national monument of trails that wind around giant redwood trees.

It was amazing.

I'm going to post mostly pictures, but I'll try to say a little about it too, it's probably going to be super cheesy and lame just so you know.

Hiking with Jesse was awesome. We decided to take the longer, less populated trail, to try and get a better experience and we sure did get an awesome experience. Once we broke away from where a lot of the people were it was so surreal and amazing to be in the presence of such gigantic trees, it was so quiet except for the occasional person or loud joke from one of us that made us laugh. We got to really spend some quality time together and experience something cool together.

Jesse is my best friend and I feel very lucky and blessed to have him in my life and I'm excited for what God has in store for me in the future. Funny how a trip to the forest helped me realize all that.

Now before I get too lame, here's some pictures!

The age of this tree is ridiculous. And it's a smaller one!!

Our delicious lunch picnic!

Using his iPad in the forest. That's cool. Cool job.

Needless to say I've been inspired. Nature is amazing and so is the Lord who put these magnificent trees here. I'm going to miss them when I move, but I'm sure I'll find things in Arizona to be in awe of.

Until next time! Love you all!

Visiting Washington

A couple days ago I got back from visiting my family in Washinton.

It started off great when I got a coffee at the airport and they decided to rename me Shanton.

I was picked up from the airport by my dad, stepmom, and sisters. We spent the day in Seattle and I was in awe that I forgot how beautiful Seattle really is.
Nothing beats it.

We went on the Big Wheel and it was super nice, I hadn't been on it before!

From the top of the wheel you could see all the islands and the mountains in the distance and it was so breathtakingly beautiful!

My sisters and I on the wheel.

We also went to the movies and saw Now You See Me... don't see it.

The next day I went off Whidbey to go see my Grandma and Rock before they went off to the beach. Grandma, Mom and I went to a super neat sushi restaurant called Sushi Maru, where the sushi comes around on a little conveyer belt around the whole place!

So cool!

After having lunch, mom and I went downtown and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

First we went to a cute little store called Shmancy, and mom got me a felt deer head to put in my house when Jesse and I move!

Her name is Tutti and I love her.

Then we went down to Pioneer Square where the new location for our favorite art gallery Roq La Rue is and looked at the current exhibit, which I loved. We then went to a super cool bar called Bar Sajor, it was a beautiful location and the seating was actually standing! I loved it!

My beautiful momma!

We got super cool (non-alcoholic, of course) drinks!

Mine was citrus mint soda and mom's was a tea that I can not remember what it was.

Sunday evening I left from the island to stay with mom all on Monday and spend the night in my old room, since I got to walk onto the ferry instead of drive I went outside on the boat and it was so beautiful out!

(I dyed my hair too)

I had a really great time seeing my family and friends and taking a break from life and all that junk.

I also enjoyed tons of delicious food.

Strawberry rolls from Sushi Maru

Yummy homemade bread from Bar Sajor

Strawberry Nutella crêpe from Jewel Box Café

Cinnamon raisin french toast from Chantrelle

Iced coffee (guess where from) and a strawberry rhubarb cupcake from Cupcake Royale!

Even though I had a great time in Seattle, and I miss my family tons, I'm glad to get back to my little life.

Love you all!

A Moving Date

this is my new beautiful home

We're set to move July 20th, though we might try to push it out a little because I still haven't told my boss and we were planning on attending one of Jesse's good friend's weddings on the 25th.

These pictures are from a listing website and I know they're not very good, I promise I'll take better pictures when I go see it myself in person!

I'm very excited to move and start a little house, and decorate and learn to cook, and get cute little pets.

I hope you are all doing well, I love you!
